Lord Vishwakarma is the divine architect and creator of the universe. Through His divine power and wisdom, He gifted humanity with scientific knowledge, craftsmanship, and creative skills. From ancient times, He guided human life toward discipline, innovation, and progress.
Over time, humanity has drifted away from the path shown by Lord Vishwakarma. This introduction presents important spiritual and historical facts to reconnect society with His teachings.
In today’s materialistic era, worship and devotion to Lord Vishwakarma are essential. In the age of science, seeking His blessings protects humanity from accidents, mental unrest, and imbalance. True progress is possible only when material and spiritual growth move together under His guidance.
All tools, machines, and systems of creation operate under the divine control of Lord Vishwakarma. Hence, both material development and spiritual upliftment are governed by Him.
Lord Vishwakarma is depicted seated above these divine instruments. The following deities are positioned symbolically:
Vasudev is regarded as the adopted son of Lord Vishwakarma.
The descendants of Lord Vishwakarma are known as the Anuja lineage.
Lord Vishwakarma had a total of seventeen Anuja lineages
On the 12th day (Dwadashi), Lord Vishwakarma appeared. Each lineage has its own traditions. On Magh Sud Teras, he manifested at Ilodgarh. On Magh Sud Panchami, and on Magh Sud Dashami, he established himself on Earth. On Dussehra, Yantra worship is performed. On Raksha Bandhan, the sacred thread (Janeu) ceremony is performed. On Shravan Sud 11, Lord Vishwakarma departed from Ilodgarh (Jerul) to his divine abode.
ૐ વિશ્વકર્મણે નમોઃ નમઃ નમો સ્તુતે, હસ્ત કલેશ હદય વસ્તુતે નમોનમઃ સ્તુતે, જગત
નિયતે જગત પિતાયે નમોનમઃ સ્તુતે, કાષ્ટ સંહિતે હસ્તકલે વિશ્વાકર્મણે નમોનમઃ સ્તુતે.
Four circumambulations (parikrama) should be performed around the temple of Lord Vishwakarma.

On the third day of the bright half of the month of Bhadrapada, on a Saturday, under the Krittika constellation, during Vyatipata Yoga, Vastu Purusha was born in the divine form created by Lord Brahma.
કંબાસૂતત્રાંબુપાત્રં વહતિ કરતલે પુસ્તકં જ્ઞાનસૂત્રં|
હંસારુઢં ત્રિનેત્ર: શુભ મુકુટ શિર સર્વતોવૃદ્દકાય:|
ત્રૈલોક્યં યેન સૃષ્ટં સકલ સુરગૃહં રાજ્યહર્મ્યાદિ હર્મ્યા|
દેવોસા સૂત્રધારો જગતખિલ હિત: પાતુવો વિશ્વકર્મા:||
Meaning:
He who holds an elephant goad in one hand, a water pot in another, a book in the third, and a garland in the fourth, who is seated on a swan, has three eyes, wears a beautiful crown upon his head, whose body is perfectly developed, who created the three worlds, who established the abodes of gods, kings, and common people, who works for the welfare of the entire universe — may that divine architect, Lord Vishwakarma, bless and protect us.
નમોસ્તુ વિશ્વરુપાય, વિશ્વરુપાતેય નમ્:
નમો વિશ્વત્માભૂતાય, વિશ્વકર્મન્નમોસ્તુતૈ
Meaning:
I bow to Lord Vishwakarma, whose form is the universe itself, who pervades all beings, and whose essence is universal.
મંગલમ ભગવાન વિશ્વકર્મા, મંગલમ હંસધ્વજ:
મંગલમ વિશ્વરૂપાય, મંગલાય તન્નો હરિ:
મંગલમ વિશ્વરૂપાય, મંગલાય તન્નો હરિ:
Just as Lord Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma have their own seed mantras, this is the seed mantra of Lord Vishwakarma.
ઓમ તત્પુરુષાય વાસ્તુપુરુષાય ધીમહિ તં નો વાસ્તુ પ્રચોદયાત્
ઓમ વિશ્વકર્માય વિધ્મહે જગત્સૃષ્ટાય ધીમહિ તત્રો તક્ષઃ પ્રચોદયાત્
Each of the above Vastu mantras should be chanted 1,000 times. All brothers and sisters of the Vishwakarma lineage are humbly requested to follow these mantras properly so that their dharma is preserved and not destroyed.
Meaning:
O Supreme Soul, destroyer of sorrow and embodiment of bliss, remover of sins and the most auspicious power, we meditate upon your divine qualities. Please inspire our senses toward noble and virtuous actions. The above Gayatri Mantra is to be recited by all Vishwakarma descendants, who are also known as Vishwakarma Brahmins.

Meaning:
This great mantra of Lord Vishwakarma was established by Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, and other gods and sages.
ઓમ યજ્ઞોપવિતં પરમં પવિત્રં પ્રજાપતેર્યત્સહજંપુરસ્તાત્:
આયુષ્ય મગ્ય્રં પ્રતિ શુભં યજ્ઞોપવિતં બલમસ્તુ તેજ:
Meaning:
O Supreme Lord, this sacred thread, born along with Lord Vishwakarma, enhances longevity, purity, strength, and divine energy. May the wearer be blessed with power and radiance.
પ્રસન્નો વિશ્વકર્માત્મા પ્રસન્નો વિશ્વકર્મણે શસ્ત્ર મધ્યે સ્થિતે દેવા કાંબી કાર્ય ફલ પ્રદ્ર
She was the daughter of the demon-king Prahlada and the sister of Virochana, and the paternal aunt of King Bali. Through her were born the sons: Trishira, Devacharya Vishvarupa, and Maya Vishwakarma.
Through her was born the son Chakshusha Manu, and through him were born the Vishvadevas and the Sadhyaganas.
She is the younger sister of the Daityas. From her were born two sons named Sannivesha and the mighty Vishvarupa.

Maternal uncles – Devaguru Brihaspati, Samvarta, Utathya, Pradhanata, Vamadeva
Swayambhuva Manu – the father of Emperor Priyavrata, who was the husband of Bahishmati, daughter of Prajapati Vishwakarma, therefore, he became the in-law of Vishwakarma.
Sage Kashyapa, son of Marichi – he is the father of Surya, who is the husband of Sanjna, daughter of Prajapati Vishwakarma, therefore, he became the in-law of Vishwakarma.
Lord Shiva – he is the father of Lord Ganesha, who is the husband of Riddhi and Siddhi, the daughters of Vishvarupa Vishwakarma, therefore, Shiva became the in-law of Vishwakarma.
Vasudeva – Shri Krishna is the husband of Kasheru, daughter of Prajapati Tvashta, therefore, Vasudeva became the in-law of Vishwakarma.
